A Federal Excessive Courtroom in Abuja on Monday dismissed a go well with filed in opposition to the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki.
The plaintiffs, Edobor Williams, Ugbesia Abudu Godwin and Amedu Dauda Anakhu within the go well with marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/553/2020 accused the Governor of forging his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) certificates in classical research from the College of Ibadan.
They stated the offence contravenes part 182(1)(i) of the structure of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), which due to this fact makes Obaseki â€œnot certified to run or search the workplace of the governor of Edo Stateâ€ within the forthcoming 2020 governorship election.
They prayed the courtroom to amongst others, maintain that Obaseki is â€œnot certified to run or search election to the workplace of the governor of Edo Stateâ€ within the forthcoming 2020 governorship election.
